I just spent a great three-day weekend at the Baltimore Comic Con with a couple of dozen fanboy friends, including Comicon alums Shoegaze99 and Bring Back Zot.
One of the weekend's many happy moments was introducing myself to Steve Conley, who worked a booth in the all-ages comics section of the show floor.
Steve seems like a nice guy. I thanked him for co-founding Comicon, where I spent much enjoyable time over the years and made lasting friends. If Steve didn't recognize the screen name "Lawson," he smiled and pretended he did, anyway.
I already had met Rick Veitch six or seven years ago at Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Md. (Also a nice guy!) So now I can say with satisfaction that I've shaken the hands of Comicon's two Daddies.
