I just bought it last night and loved it. On the 'Nuf Said thread I posted my review of it but thought it needed its own. So here's the cut and paste version. If you haven't read it this may spoil a little bit so don't read this until you've read the book if you're anal about that kind of thing.

Moment of Silence Very, very, very well done. This is the best 'Nuff Said by far. As much as I watched and read about real peoples' stories on that horrible day it still chokes me up.

Moment of Truth by Bill Jemas and illustrated by the best Mark Bagely pencils I've ever seen. I knew this guy is capable of good stuff but his monthly work is rushed and it shows. This was breath taking.

A True Story by Bendis and Scot Morse was a short story that I want to relate too. On 9-11 all I could think about was how could I get up there and help. It would have been a 16 hour non-stop drive for me and i still regret not doing it.

Sick Day by Quesada and Kordey... well all I'm going to say here is: The page where the family goes to Ground Zero for the first time.... I should probably continue this on the "comics that made you cry" thread.

Periphery by Kevin Smith and JRjr. Not some of JRjr's best work but he gets slack for doing two books a month and doing this. He's a busy guy. This was a very realistic take on a hectic morning in any given household. It actually has a happy ending which is a nice way to close the book.

This book touched me as much as Heroes. Quesada's story really dug deep. i was wondering if this was a true story. I know it's more symbolic but i know Joe knew some of the victims of Sep.11 and i was just thought it was a posibility.

This book was amazing. Touched me more than any other book.

Specifically, Jemas' story. The art was superior and the story is similar to the one we heard about my friend's dad. He went back to make sure everyone was out and safe.

Bendis' story was okay but not outstanding. Then again I don't have the love for Bendis' writing style that most people have.

Quesada's story was great. I still can't figure out if I like Kordy's (sp) art or not. I think some panels are amazing while others aren't so much.

Smith's story was quite good. The thoughts a lot of people went through. I'm just amazed how disappointing Romita's art ended up. I'm guessing the inker and colorist are the one's to blame.

Overall an amazing book. My thoughts go out to those whose stories were brought to the page. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

What's with all the complaints about the inking on Romita Jr.'s pencils?
I thought the art in that story looked great...didn't see how it was any better or worse than some of his other stuff.
I'm no expert on art, so maybe I'm missing out on something more subtle, but his art seemed as great as always.
