Please show me where I said the evidence for your obsessiveness was that you reply to every post I make here? Another straw man from Ivan. As has been said already, you look obsessive and to lack perspective because of the particularly laboured nature of many of your responses, and because for the last couple of weeks you have done nothing on Comicon except post to this thread. Conveniently, you've posted nothing of worth on any Comicon thread, so I don't see that you have much ground to stand on when making your complaint about where on Comicon I've posted relative to your own output.

Thanks for sharing your opinion of the worth of my other postings, but it isn’t relevant to countering my point here. What is relevant is your bloated ranting (scroll up this page for examples); and your own words: Originally posted by IvanJim: A look at your last fifty postings would argue for a mono-focus which is appropriately described as an obsession. …and the facts: http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=recent_user_posts;u=00002909 ...which you can't refute.

You're welcome, but I'm afraid that it's more relevent than you realize. You point to focus and value, and I'm providing an insight that you've apparently overlooked. You see bloat simply because you aren't able or willing to discern content, and that speaks of value. You also complain about focus, accusing me of mono-focus, but you overlook that while you've posted in multiple threads there's no actual focus in the posts you've made. ...which you can't refute. As has come to be your custom, you've misinterpreted what's been said in order to try and cobble a point together when you don't actually have a sustainable argument. What I said about mono-focus had to do with the content of the last fifty posts and not just where they were placed. It seems to me that you're constantly looking for an "out" or a "gotcha", often taking quotes out of context, as opposed to making legitimate points. You don't seem successful in using either of these "escape" options even though you continue to try and stretch these tactics. I imagine this is because you have no legitimate points, an opinion that seems to be easily supported by simply reading your posts.

Gives us a link? Can't. The news is so old, it was before the 'Net was born.

...but intellectual laziness is intellectual laziness and at the very least you're guilty of that. Congratulations SlowJoe, you've managed to catch a typo and show that you're still quite dim all in the same post. As hard as it is for you to grasp, the context of my comment is that your typos were just another symptom of your intellectual laziness, and not the most prominent one at that. It was somewhere in between the ellipses that you've added, but you probably missed this when you got distracted. You also probably didn't understand it when it was clarified for you, but then again it could just be yet another case of you believing what you want to believe instead of what was actually written. I've noticed that you do try and mimic this technique when you've been shown to be a fool and you don't want to acknowledge the reality of the situation. Still and all, I do owe you an apology. What I had mistakenly seen as intellectual laziness in you was mostly intellectual inability, and was merely complemented by your intellectual laziness. I hope that this clears just a tiny bit of the fog away from this resentment of yours (although you probably won't quite grasp what's being written here and will more likely cling to your mistakes instead).

More accurately, I've managed to catch YET ANOTHER typo. You make it sound like it was just the first, when it's only one of many at this point that have been discovered. Perhaps you should consider some kind of night school remedial refresher class. You are not presenting yourself to the best of your abilities. Or perhaps you are.

Or perhaps you are. I'm more than willing to admit that I make typos, but I believe that my meaning is always clear (to most folks, but not to folks with less capabilities like Joe). You, SlowJoe, also make typos but more importantly, you also write posts devoid of meaning and that show a marked inability to grasp what you've read. I'd rather have my fault (the occasional typo) than your set of faults (being dim-witted, petty, whiny, making frequent typos and being at a loss to grasp what you've read). I guess we'll both just have to learn to live with our respective crosses. I hope you're up to the task.
