New Line Cinema's SNAKES ON A PLANE is set to be a fun cult-movie hit, and San Diego Comic-Con attendees now have the chance to see the film trailer and movie props at the promotional booth, located at 3629. AK Comics, based in Egypt, has taken as its mission statement the creation of global comics featuring the Arabic culture. At the Robert Kirkman panel, the scribe announced the Marvel Team Up series would be ending with issue # 25. He said the Titanus storyline would be resolved with that issue as well. The writer also talked a little about a Marvel Zombies one shot coming out in December from the same creative team. He said if this does well, Marvel is considering a sequel to hit possibly in the summer of 2007.
At the Wildstorm panel today it was announced that the publisher would be doing a horror line with some classic and new properties included. There weren't a lot of other details released aside from the name of some of the books: Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th and Snakes on A Plane will be the initial launches. The big news out of today’s Dick Tracy panel is that IDW is going to be releasing collections of the strip ala the popular Fantagraphics’ Peanuts/Dennis the Menace format. The collections will have introductions from consulting Editor and Dick Tracy expert, Max Allan Collins. Collins has written several Dick Tracy appearances and is excited about these new collections of the original source material.
George Perez said Thursday that he's enjoying the Brave and the Bold series he's doing with writer Mark Waid, but that he's already got his eyes on his next project, which, unfortunately, isn't Teen Titans Games.

Exciting for con-goers everywhere, Edward James Olmos made his first convention debut here at San Diego Comic-Con.
