A New Team, A New Day Dawning – Preview X-Men Gold #1
by Staff
Yesterday, we ran a preview of X-Men Prime #1, which arrives March 29th, and acts as a prelude to X-Men Gold #1, which arrives on April 5th, the following Wednesday.
Prime is billed as a jumping on point for this storyline featuring Kitty Pryde in a leadership role. In Gold, she’s setting up an all-new team of X-Men including Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Old Man Logan and Rachel Grey. This issue is set to start them off on their new missions as a team.
In our previous article, I questioned whether Pryde would be featured as much as I hoped she would be, since in Prime #1, she’s not featured on every cover, but based on this preview, I’m pretty satisfied–she’s on every single cover revealed so far, and she even appears on each of these preview pages.
Written by Marc Guggenheim (X-Men, television’s Arrow) and drawn by Ardian Syaf (Superman/Batman), “a new day is dawning for the Children of the Atom”, in this series, according to Marvel.
Here’s a look at the covers for this book by Ardian Syaf, David Marquez, Andre Leroy Davis, and Ron Lim:
