A First Look At Aaron Kuder’s Amusing Art On Marvel’s All-New Guardians Of The Galaxy #1
by Staff
Marvel are launching All-New Guardians of the Galaxy in May, and that title will be twice monthly. By no coincidence, surely, that’s the month Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrives in theaters.
Advertised as a new beginning with a new creative team, the ongoing series lands May 3rd, written by Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, Uncanny Avengers) and drawn by Aaron Kuder (Death of X). As usual, the Guardians are on the run, and this time, it’s the new Nova Corps and a war brewing between them and the Elders of the Universe. I have to say, the artwork by Kuder, seen below, is really infused with humor and energy–his linework brings something new to Guardians alongside many great artists who have worked on the property.
Series Editor Jordan D. White teases that this book “will be the spine of the Marvel cosmic universe”, while still being “rooted” in the characters we love. He also hints there might be a “surprise addition to the team eventually”.
There’s also going to be an original 10-page All-New Guardians of the Galaxy story on Free Comic Book Day (May 6th) from Duggan and Kuder.
