Image Comics has announced a new “high energy action series” from Doug Wagner, Nic Rummel, and Charlie Kirchoff arriving in August, The Hard Place.
Ex-con AJ Gurney, a well-known “wheelman” in Detroit has decided it’s time to go straight. When he returns home to work in his father’s garage, he disappear into anonymity, but during a visit to a bank, two robbers recognize him and force him into service. Taking a female hostage to assure his compliance, they don’t realize that she’s the daughter for a Russian crime lord. Pursued by police and also by the Russian mob, AJ finds himself if a “very hard place”.
