Coming to theaters July 21, 2017, a new film from Luc Besson takes us into the world of a French graphic novel in Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets.
In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) act as a team of special operatives who maintain order throughout human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the city of Alpha—an astonishing and ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged to share knowledge and their cultures with each other. However, a mystery haunts Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the city, and Valerian and Laureline must identify the menace to save both Alpha and the future of the universe.
