Parallel Selves, Vanishing Worlds, Internet Utopias – Jillian Tamaki’s Boundless Arrives This Week
by Staff
As we’ve mentioned previously on Comicon.com, Jillian Tamaki is on tour in May and June for the release of her new book from Drawn & Quarterly, Boundless. Boundless arrives in shops today, May 31st, 2017.
Tamaki is the creator of graphic novels This One Summer and Supermutant Magic Academy, as well as working on Supergirl. In her new book, Boundless, Jenny becomes drawn into an odd reality, a “mirror Facebook” which shows her an alternate version of herself. Helen finds herself shrinking away to “nothingness” and the world disappearing as well. Another story features animals in the city forming a mental connection with humans to convey their experience, and lastly, a music file on the internet starts a new utopian society–or a cult.
