Valerian and Laureline Get A Crash Course On The City Of A Thousand Planets In New Clip

In an extended scene from Luc Besson’s upcoming Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) get a crash course on some of the various lifeforms inhabiting the ancient and ever evolving space station.

I have to be honest. Since I first saw clips of this flick at Comic-Con last year, I’ve been excited. While Besson’s films aren’t exactly good, they are wild and inventive. And this one, based on the Valerian and Laureline comics by Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières, looks especially insane. Also featuring Rihanna, Clive Owne and Ethan Hawke, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets opens on July 21st.
