Peter Capaldi To Make One Last Doctor Who Appearance At Comic-Con
by Erik Amaya
The Doctor Who Comic-Con panel is definitely a tradition. It’s one of the tougher Hall H presentations to get into. It’s often very loud. And like the Doctor itself, it’s unpredictable.
But one thing you can count on — most years — is that it is happening and 2017 is no exception. According to BBC America, Doctor Who will return with a Hall H panel on Sunday July 23rd at 2 pm. Peter Capaldi returns for one last appearance. His season ten cast, Pearl Mackie, Matt Lucas and Michelle Gomez, will also join him on stage to talk about the days when the Doctor was him.
Presumably, there will be some commiserating about Missy as well.
Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat will so be along with a special preview of the 2017 Doctor Who Christmas Special.
Prior to the Doctor Who panel, BBC America will also present a look at the upcoming second season of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency at 1pm. Stars Elijah Wood, Samuel Barnett, Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Fiona Dourif, Mpho Koaho will be joined by new cast members Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine. Creator Max Landis (Bright) and showrunner Robert Cooper will also be on hand with a few surprises of their own.
Considering the monster crowd assembling for Who, presenting Dirk Gently first is probably a wise idea. I will do my utmost to get into that Doctor Who panel, but the threat of time wars always make it an uncertainty.
