Exclusive: Boom! Studios Announce Jim Henson’s Labyrinth 2017 Special Ahead Of SDCC ’17

Boom! Studios, in partnership with The Jim Henson Company, have announced the Jim Henson’s Labyrinth 2017 Special to arrive in shops in November 2017. This ninth announcement is part of Boom’s “Road to SDCC” series of announcements spanning the ten days leading up to SDCC ’17 taking place in San Diego this week.
The Special will feature a wide and diverse assembly of creators, including Jeff Stokely (The Spire), Roger Langridge (Thor: The Mighty Avenger), Delilah S. Dawson (Ladycastle), Adam Smith (Jim Henson’s Labyrinth), Katie Cook (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic), Ryan Sook (Batman Beyond), Derek Kirk Kim (Tune), Jared Cullum, Alessandro Q. Ferrari, and Curry Ross.
This is the second annual special spinning out of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, and consists of an all-new collection of short stories that celebrates the various characters and creatures from the world of the Labyrinth film (1986). This will include the never-before-told story of how Sir Didymus met his trusted steed Ambrosius, and the story of a goblin running late to the famous “Dance Magic Dance” sequence from the iconic film, according to Boom! Studios.
Jim Henson’s Labyrinth 2017 Special is published through Boom’s Archaia imprint and is the latest release in their partnership with The Jim Henson Company, which also includes Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal and Jim Henson’s The Storyteller.
