SDCC ’17: The War Begins In Star Trek: Discovery Trailer

As revealed at Comic-Con International: San Diego on Saturday, the trailer for Star Trek Discovery reveals the beginning of a conflict between Starfleet and the Klingon Empire that will engulf the galaxy and the series during its first season.
It’s also fairly clear what will be come of U.S.S. Shenzhou. However, it is unclear if that means Michelle Yeoh’s Captain Georgiou. But it’s clear the events of of the show will set up the contentious relationship between the Federation and the Klingons that will evolve into the Cold War stalemate of the original Star Trek.
Oh, and it seems Harry Mudd (Rainn Wilson) will have a part to play. But it he seems less gregarious than the Mudd Kirk will meet ten years later. Will he have some sort of conviction besides money in his younger days?
Star Trek: Discovery sets out on its mission on September 24th.
