SDCC ’17: Dynamite To Publish Art Book On TNT’s The Librarians

by Hannah Means Shannon

As part of Dynamite’s slate of announcements for SDCC ’17, we’ve learned that TNT’s television series The Librarians is going to be the subject of a retrospective art book.

The tv series debuted as the most-watched cable network series launch in 2014 and has now been running for three years. To celebrate the ingenuity behind the series’ production, Dynamite will be releasing a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry of the show.

The Librarians centers on an ancient organization dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth and John Harlan Kim star in the series as protectors of the world’s mystical treasures with Emmy winner John Larroquette as their reluctant caretaker. The series features Noah Wyle as Flynn Carsen, the character made popular in the original TV movies.

Dynamite announced previously this year that they’ll be publishing a series of comics based on The Librarians, debuting in September 2017.
Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher of Dynamite Entertainment says:

The Librarians is a fun show with great adventure. The cast dynamics and premise are perfect for comic books, and I am thrilled that Dynamite Entertainment will have the opportunity to expand on this rich world in a series certain to reward longtime fans and newcomers alike!

Dynamite Entertainment’s retrospective of The Librarians will be released in 2018. Look for details on pricing, format, and release in the coming weeks, along with news of the new Librarians comic book series from Dynamite, coming to a comic shop near you this September.
