Flying Beasts And Alien Civilizations – Preview Faerber And Kesgin’s ‘Elsewhere’

by Olly MacNamee

Out next week and a comic that looks like a whole lot of fun, Jay Faerber (Noble Causes, Copperhead) teams up with rising star artist, Sumeyye Kesgin, and colorists, Ron Riley, to present a ‘what if’ style story purporting to be the ‘real’ story behind aviation adventurer Amelia Earhart’s mysterious disappearance back in 1937 (fun fact: the same year that saw the publication of American classic, Of Mice and Men) during her fatal attempt to circumnavigate the globe singlehandedly.
Looking at these preview pages it’s uncanny how Kesgi has managed to capture her likeness so effortlessly, as you can see for yourselves below the series’ synopsis.

Mysteriously transported to a strange new world filled with flying beasts and alien civilizations, Amelia desperately struggles to return home. Along the way, she forges alliances and makes enemies as she goes from aviator to freedom fighter in a rebellion against a merciless warlord!

Elsewhere #1 is out next week, August 2nd and prices at $3.99
