Watch The Trailer, Read The Preview For Skybound’s Violent Drama Gasolina
by Hannah Means Shannon
Skybound’s upcoming series Gasolina lands on September 20th, 2017, and we’re starting to hear a lot of buzz about that release. Written by Skybound editor Sean Mackiewicz and illustrated by Niko Walter, with colors by Mat Lopes and letters by Rus Wooton, the series features newlyweds caught in a situation where they must become leaders in a struggle against a terrifying cartel determined to wage a war.
From what we’ve seen so far, the series is super-violent, but also deeply emotional, and one which may prove quite gripping for readers.
I recently ordered something from the Skybound store, and when the package arrived, it contained a full preview of the entire first issue of Gasolina in a reduced, ash-can format. I have to say that this preview was very impressive. The pacing and the use of violence seemed particularly well thought-out and laid out to draw the reader into this tense narrative and create grounded human drama alongside the spectacle of this struggle.
Here’s a look at the trailer for the series:
