The Disaster Artist Trailer Is Finally Here

by Erik Amaya

A24 has released a trailer for the upcoming James Franco opus, The Disaster Artist.

Based on Greg Sestero’s book of the same name, the film tells the tale of Sestero and his friend Tommy Wiseau. In the early part of the century, Wiseau set out to be an actor. Eventually, his need for fame coalesced into The Room, one of the greatest bad movies ever made. As regular readers know, I love cheesy movies and The Room is one of the best. I’ve been looking forward to The Disaster Artist for sometime and can’t wait to see how Franco interprets Sestero’s recollection of events.

But from this trailer, I know he has Tommy’s voice down pat. It might even be better than my own interpretation.

The Disaster Artist opens on December 1st.
