Edwina Findley Set For Recurring Role On The CW’s Black Lightning

While we’ve known for sometime that Black Lightning‘s principle protagonist Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) will have a family surrounding him, adversary Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III) appeared to be flanked by no one except his lackeys in The 100 gang. But it appears he will have some familial support in the form of a sister.
Deadline reports that Edwina Findley will play Whale’s sister Tori. The character, original to the series, is reportedly charming, but as deadly as Tobias himself. It’s unclear if she will be part of The 100, her own rival faction, or somehow allied with Lady Eve (Jill Scott) and, presumably, the Kobra Cult. The character is set to be recurring, so don’t expect Findley to help or harm Whale every week. But at least Whale will sometimes have someone to spar with besides underlings.
The series, based on characters created by Tony Isabella, pits a retired Pierce against Whale and The 100, whose activities force him to don the Black Lightning suit once again.
Black Lightning comes to The CW in 2018.
