Black Siren Strikes Again In A Preview of Next Week’s Arrow

by Erik Amaya

So now that the new team dynamics are in place, it’s time to get back to business on Arrow. And as this preview of next week’s episode reveals, Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) is ready to move on with the next stage in the plan. Well, assuming she’s still working for the mysterious foe who unmasked Oliver. This person must be pretty persuasive to keep Black Siren on his or her side. She … has a habit of going her own way. Come to think of it, her latest scheme may be one of her own. It’ll be interesting to see how Diggle deals with her now that he’s team leader.

And while we’re talking about Dig, I wonder what designer drug he’s using to deal with the nerve damage in his arm. Considering this is Arrow, I have a feeling its some form of Mirakuru. If it, it’s a much less potent form as his hesitation this week is not a classic side-effect of that drug. I think we can safely dismiss Riverdale‘s Jingle Jangle, though. That’s a very different narcotic. But whatever Diggle is using, it will come back to haunt him because nothing is easy for Team Arrow.
Also, because Kord Industries was invoked this week, is it possible Michael Emerson will turn out to be a villainous version of the usually lovable Blue Beetle? The character has been on lockdown since before the Berlantiverse began. But with characters like Deathstroke becoming available again, perhaps it’s finally time for Ted to appear. Just not in a form we would normally predict. Then again, the joke about the CEO being unavailable for a meeting could be a reference to Ted’s continual contractual absence from television.
Arrow airs Thursdays on The CW.
