IDW’s Star Wars Adventures Vol. 1: Heroes Of The Galaxy May Spread A Love For Reading
by Hannah Means Shannon
IDW’s first collection of their Star Wars Adventures stories has arrived in shops as Star Wars Adventures Vol. 1: Heroes of the Galaxy.
The publisher have teased that the series will have a “rotating” cast of characters as well as creators on the property.
This first volume collects the first two issues from IDW’s ongoing Star Wars Adventures series, as well as the special preview issue that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2017.
Cavan Scott (Star Wars: Adventures in Wild Space) and Landry Q. Walker (Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Tales From a Galaxy Far, Far Away) contributed to this volume, alongside artist Derek Charm (Jughead), and they are joined by Elsa Charretier & Pierrick Colinet (Star Wars: Forces of Destiny).
Cavan Scott explains how Star Wars sparked his love of reading:
The great thing about Star Wars Adventures is that, as well as introducing a whole host of people to Star Wars, these issues may even be a kid’s introduction to comics, and to reading in general. They can introduce young readers to so many incredible worlds, and really instill a love of reading at an early age. They did for me.
