Disney-esque And Delightful – Preview The Star Wars: Rogue One GN From IDW
by Olly MacNamee
Giving last years’ spectacular Star Wars: Rogue One film, a comic book adaption with more of an animated vibe about it–and a little bit of a Disney-esque and delightful feel to it too–could not only appeal to us hardened fans, but very possibly appeal to the younger readers IDW are targeting with their line of Star Wars Adventures books, too.
It looks amazing from these preview pages alone and well worth sharing with you on it’s drop date this Wednesday, the of 29th of November. A year in the making, maybe, but well worth the wait. A graphic novel suitable for Padawans, Jedis and Siths of all ages.
The Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon, is nearing completion, and the Rebel Alliance may be doomed. Enter Jyn Erso, daughter of the Death Star’s reluctant creator, who desperately seeks to save her father from Imperial control. On her quest, she’ll join forces with Rebel spy Cassian Andor, reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2SO, and other supporters of the Rebel cause, only to discover that their goals may differ crucially from her own. It all culminates in a saga-defining showdown on the tropical planet Scarif, with Jyn and her friends attempting to steal the Death Star’s plans and keep hope for the Rebellion alive, leading directly into the iconic opening scene of Star Wars: A New Hope.
Star Wars: Rogue One GN is out Wednesday, the 29th of November 2017.
