If you’ve haven’t heard about the extreme ultra-kitsch foil variant cover for Valiant’s Quantum and Woody! #1, you probably haven’t been on the internet much. Following up with a “slightly less collectible” but only slightly so, issue in #2, the new series written by Daniel Kibblesmith (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and drawn by Kano will arrive on January 31st.
The “superhero-action-family-drama-buddy-comedy throwdown of 2018” shows just how broken up the buddy brother hero team-up is when Eric and Woody are barely talking to each other. Eric has kept the truth about Woody’s biological father a secret, and now that Woody has found out about his brother’s “betrayal”, things are a no-go. Can they give their relationship one more shot when they journey “down under” to Australia in search of Woody’s biological father?
Valiant say, “you’ll believe two men and a goat can fly coach” in issue #2. Good one.
Quantum and Woody! #2 will feature covers by Julian Totino Tedesco (Hawkeye), Geoff Shaw (God Country), and Mike Allred (Silver Surfer). Wow!
