Get Ready For Action — A Bunch of Cannon Movies Are Headed To Hulu

by Erik Amaya

A few of the Cannon Group’s films have made into our weekly cheesy movie review column, Your Weekend Cheesy Movie, but the coming months may be a veritable Cannon-fest as number of the now-defunct company’s films are heads to Hulu in the new year. From Charles Bronson to ninjas to Vietnam, these are some of the finest cheese-filled movies out there. Here’s the complete list of Cannon films to devour come January 1st (via TV Insider):
10 to Midnight (1983)
American Ninja (1985)
Assassination (1987)
Avenging Force (1986)
Bloodsport (1988)
Bolero (1984)
Invaders from Mars (1986)
Invasion U.S.A. (1985)
Missing in Action II: The Beginning (1985)
Ninja III: The Domination (1984)
Platoon Leader (1988)
Revenge of the Ninja (1983)
Street Smart (1987)
From everything I’ve read, Street Smart is a legitimate movie that Morgan Freeman credits as the true beginning of his film career. It’s also the reason why Superman IV: The Quest for Peace exists, but we’ll talk about that another day. The rest of the list, though, reflects Cannon’s reliance on cheap action, boobs, and insane plots. It will also illustrate their wonderful disregard for quality. A few other cheesy movies to look for on the streaming platform in the new year include the Subspecies film series and 1970’s Hercules In New York.
All of these films will be available January 1st on Hulu.
