We’ve explored the origins of Nicky Finch in a Secret Weapons zero issue from Valiant, but now Owen Cho is also getting his spotlight in a standalone special arriving on March 14th.
Secret Weapons: Owen’s Story #0 will be written and illustrated by the series original team of Eric Heisserer, Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín. It’s also being teased as a comic that’s innovative in its storytelling techniques within the comics medium.
Valiant asks what Owen does with all those unwanted objects, and concludes that he would have a yard sale. Readers are going to discover the “significance behind the otherwise ordinary trinkets, toys, and gadgets” conjured by Owen in a series of lavishly illustrated double-page spreads and short stories specific to each object”. Together these revelations will form a narrative in an innovative way.
