Lena Luthor Is In Trouble And Guardian Is Back In A Preview Of Next Week’s Supergirl

by Erik Amaya

Guardian is back! Or, at least he will be if the few glimpses of James Olsen’s (Mehcad Brooks) alter ego in this preview of next week’s Supergirl are any indication. Olsen’s hero identity has been on the bench so long, I can’t recall if he’s been in the suit at all this season. I wonder if he or Winn (Jeremy Jordan) will comment on Guardian’s long absence. Meanwhile, it looks like Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) will be foaming at the mouth next week. Poisoning perhaps? Another plot by Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar) to get the best of his corporate rival?

Also, I have to give the show credit for making Live Wire (Brit Morgan) such a winning presence this week. I guess they had to in order for her sacrifice to mean something. Would’ve been interesting to see her join the Bestie Squad as Sam (Odette Annable) will probably be leaving that group soon. And speaking of Sam’s eventual demise, I think I said after the first episode this season that Alex (Chyler Leigh) would end up adopting Sam’s daughter Ruby (Emma Tremblay). This week definitely made their bond a lot stronger.
At the same time, it will be sad to see Sam lose the internal battle with Reign. Well, I’m assuming that it will go that way as the show is making pains to bring Alex and Ruby together. Maybe Kara (Melissa Benoist) will get threw to her, like she did with Live Wire, but it may still mean Sam will make the ultimate sacrifice to stop the World Killers.
Supergirl airs Mondays on The CW.
