Jody Houser And Gabriel Guzman Helm Blizzard’s StarCraft Comics At Dark Horse

Dark Horse and Blizzard Entertainment have been partners for some time, but have recently announced a new development: the arrival of a StarCraft comic series.

In the four-issue comic series, StarCraft: Scavengers, Eisner-nominated writer Jody Houser (Mother Panic, Faith) and artist Gabriel Guzmán (Star Wars) will craft a story that focuses on a group of “terrans” hopes to pull off the job of their lifetimes: “pillaging a derelict protoss ship in a decaying orbit above an uninhabited planet”. They are up against a time crunch as the tech will soon burn up in the planet’s atmosphere, and they’re also being hunted by Dominion police forces.

Originally released by Blizzard Entertainment in 1998, StarCraft is a real-time strategy game that chronicles the interstellar war between three galactic species: the protoss, the zerg, and the terrans. Sequel StarCraft II,  is now available free-to-play.

The first issue (of four) of the StarCraft: Scavengers comic series goes on sale July 25, 2018.
