Diamond’s Top Selling Comics & Graphic Novels: January 2018 – Doomsday Clock, The Walking Dead, Avengers, And More

Diamond have released their sales numbers for the month of January 2018, bringing us news of best sellers.
Few will be surprised to learn that Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s Doomsday Clock #3 from DC Entertainment was the best-selling book of the month, according to Diamond.
Marvel Comics, however, was the month’s top publisher in terms of total sales, while DC came awfully close with their totals in units shipped to shops being higher. Image came in third, followed by IDW and Dark Horse in that order.
DC Entertainment had six comics in January’s top ten books. Those others were:
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Dark Nights: Metal #5
Tom King and Travis Moore’s “The Origin of Bruce Wayne” in Batman #38
Tom King and Joëlle Jones’ “Superfriends” chapter three in Batman #39
Sean Murphy’s Batman: White Knight #4
Scott Snyder, Tony Patrick, and Cully Hamner’s Batman and the Signal #1
Also in the Top 10 for the month from Image and Marvel were:
Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s The Walking Dead #175 from Image Comics,
Al Ewing, Mark Waid, Jim Zub, and Pepe Larraz’s Avengers #675,
Mike Costa, Dan Slott, Ryan Stegman, and Gerardo Sandoval’s Amazing Spider-Man & Venom: Venom Inc. Omega #1
Ethan Sacks and Marco Checchetto’s Old Man Hawkeye #1
The top selling graphic novel for January 2018 was The Legend of Korra Volume 2: Turf Wars Part 2 by Michael Dante DiMartino and Irene Koh.
Image Comics had five titles in the Top 10 for graphic novels:
Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie’s The Wicked and the Divine Volume 6: Imperial Phase Part 2
Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen’s Descender Volume 5: Rise of the Robots
Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ Kill or Be Killed Volume 3
Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples’ Saga Volume 8
Vaughan and Staples’ Saga Volume 1
DC Entertainment had two titles in the Top 10 for graphic novels:
Shea Fontana and Yancy Labat’s DC Super Hero Girls: Date With Disaster
Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, John Timms, and Alex Sinclair’s Harley Quinn Volume 4: Surprise, Surprise
Marvel Comics had two titles in the Top 10 for graphic novels:
Ed Brisson and Mike Deodato’s Wolverine: Old Man Logan Volume 6: Days of Anger
Tom King, Gabriel Hernandez Walta, and Michael Walsh’s Vision
Dynamite Entertainment’s Vampirella Tarot Cards Set was January’s best-selling game product.
DW Games’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past Board Game also ranked in the Top 10 for games for January 2018.
