Black Lighting Takes The Battle To Tobias In A Preview Of The Next Episode

Black Lightning is joining its CW superhero cousins in the February hiatus. But when it returns, Jeff (Cress Williams) will be on the hunt for Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon” James III) and it seems nothing will stop him. At least that’s the impression one gets from the following preview of the next episode.
Meanwhile, Anissa’s (Nafessa Williams) investigation into her grandfather’s death is bringing her closer to the real source of Freeland’s troubles. It must be the shadowy cabal Lady Eve (Jill Scott) represents. But are they also responsible for the abduction of children thirty years ago and the emergence of powers? Is that horror story she told Tobias about grinding up albinos based in some current truth? And while we’re speculating, is Green Light itself based on that substance Anissa found in her grandfather’s storage locker? Who’s paying for its upkeep? Gambi (James Remar)?
Based on his conversation with Tobias, I’m inclined to believe he is also part of the cabal. But then why would he outfit Black Lightning? The questions become more intriguing and we’ll have to wait a little while longer for answers.
Black Lightning returns February 27th on The CW.
