Toy Fair 2018: Funko Leaves No Disney Movie Behind
by Christine Marie Attardo
Sadly, I didn’t make it to Toy Fair in NYC this year…but that’s okay. Thankfully, the internet exists. That means I spent all weekend staring at photos of toys I wish I had seen in person, and can’t wait to see on shelves.
As a diehard Disney fan, my eyes were especially peeled for new magical POP!s. Toy Fair didn’t disappoint and actually left me pleasantly surprised. The more and more I get to know and love Funko, the more I realize that the company truly doesn’t leave any movie behind.
I’m specifically talking about the Hercules POP!s that were showcased this past weekend.
I mean, how cute is that?
Some might argue that Hercules is on the low end of Disney movies, that it doesn’t stand up to the heights of Frozen, Tangled, Toy Story, etc. For some of us, Hercules is even better than the titles mentioned. In my case, this song brings me right back to childhood…sitting on my bedroom floor eating Doritos. That movie has an amazing soundtrack, great characters, a fun twist on Greek Gods, and it’s really funny too.
Moving on…my point is, I’m glad Funko gives attention to all Disney fans and leaves no Disney movie behind with their products.
Take a look at what they have in store:
I especially can’t wait to get my hands on Baby Pegasus.
Not a fan of Hercules? Here’s a few other Disney nods from Toy Fair with Monsters Inc, Winnie the Pooh, and A Wrinkle in Time:
