Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Teases Milestone 100th Episode In A Preview Of Next Week’s Show

With the team firmly back in the present and a very hostile US government on their tales, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is ready to celebrate its 100th episode. Over the course of five years, they’ve fought a lot of strange things. And if this preview of next week’s show is any indication, it seems many of them — like Hive — will be back for an encore. Or, at the very least, to wish Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the crew their best during this special time.

After watching pilots for Inhumans and a number of other television shows in recent years, it is amazing just how far S.H.I.E.L.D. has come since its rocky beginning. I checked out after the third episode, in fact. I was encouraged to give it another go just before Captain America: The Winter Soldier opened and was surprised how much it had changed in just ten-or-so episodes. Since then, I’ve been with the series through Inhuman plots, Ghost Rider, Daisy changing her name and “the true S.H.I.E.L.D.” making itself known. The show can be cheesy, but it always manages to keep me coming back thanks to fun characters and great uses of Marvel concepts which are not strong enough to lead their own series. Hopefully, it will make it to a sixth season.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Fridays on ABC.
