A New Zord Debuts In June With Power Rangers: Shattered Grid

“Shattered Grid,” the mega event poised to rock the world of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics, begins this month. We’ve seen a lot of teases from Boom! Studios and Saban Brands, including the debut of a brand new Power Ranger and a huge team-up featuring members from most of the franchises over the 25 year history of the brand. In June, we’ll see the debut of a new Zord coming from the mysterious Ranger Slayer.


June’s portion of “Shattered Grid” will come in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #28 and Go Go Power Rangers #10. The Mighty Morphin team joins forces with many Rangers from across time and space to battle Lord Drakkon, a twisted, evil version of Tommy Oliver from another dimension.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #28, from writer Kyle Higgins and artist Daniele di Nicuolo has the Mighty Morphin team splitting up into two strike forces to fight Drakkon across worlds. One is with RPM and the other with Time Force. The comic will feature a main cover by Jamal Campbell and variant covers by Jordan Gibson and Carlos Villa.


Go Go Power Rangers #10, from writer Ryan Parrott and artist Dan Mora, has the Ranger Slayer, in service to Lord Drakkon, threatening the future of the Power Rangers by destroying their pasts. Just who is this mysterious new Power Ranger? This issue will feature a main cover by Dan Mora and variant covers by Miguel Mercado, Audrey Mok, and Natacha Bustos.
