Power Up For An Incredibles 2 Graphic Novel And Comic Series From Dark Horse This Summer

2018 is already shaping up to be a banner year for superhero movies. One of the titles I’m most looking forward to is Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2. Dark Horse Comics has given me another reason to look forward to it as the publisher has announced that it will be releasing a new graphic novel and three-issue mini-series based on the upcoming film and geared towards younger readers.

The graphic novel, Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Heroes at Home is written by Liz Marsham and illustrated by Nicoletta Baldari. It follows Dash and Violet as they try to help out at home while their parents – Mr. and Mrs. Incredible –try some new and very different jobs. The kids have to secretly go into Super mode to stop some criminal activity on a routine trip to the grocery store then they have to keep up with their chores, which are unknowingly being obstructed by the innocent mischief of their baby brother, Jack-Jack.
Also coming soon from Dark Horse is Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2: Crisis in Mid-Life! & Other Stories. The first issue of the three-issue mini-series contains part 1 of “Crisis in Mid-Life!,” part 1 of “Bedtime Story,” and a standalone Jack-Jack tale. Written by Christos Gage and Landry Q. Walker and illustrated by Gurihiru, J. Bone, and Andrea Greppi and Roberta Zanotta, every issue will feature two original ongoing adventures, plus shorts.
The first issue has Mr. Incredible dedicating a new submarine when he’s interrupted by Bomb Voyage and doubting his super powers in the introductory tale. The next story has Bob telling Jack-Jack a bedtime story while his other two kids call foul. This amazing tale from his glory days seems too amazing to be true. Finally, Jack-Jack uses his powers to overcome a worthy opponent during a visit to the park.
Heroes at Home is a 48-page graphic novel and set for release on June 12^th, 2018.  It is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and at your local comic shop.  Crisis in Mid-Life! & Other Stories #1 goes on sale on July 11^th, 2018.
