The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are divided on how best to help Coulson (Clark Gregg). Daisy (Chloe Bennet) has her ideas, but Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) intend to bring Yo-Yo (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) into their plan. In fact, her presumed inability to die thanks to the certainty of time is a key part of the strategy. To bring her on board, though, the pair must reveal the truth about Deke (Jeff Ward) to her. And as the following clip shows, it goes about as well as you’d expect.
I can’t wait to see Yo-Yo do her thing with her abilities and new robot arms. It’s also nice to see a trio of characters smile for once after Fitz broke what little moral was left.
Of course, it remains to be seen if the future is immobile. Maybe Yo-Yo will die and prove there is no fate by what we make for ourselves. Yeah, I’m quoting Terminator 2: Judgement Day as it is a good shorthand for the possible temporal mechanics in play here. Fitz has always believed that time is immutable, but maybe there is still a chance to avoid the 2090s they saw and keep the world from exploding.
