Archie Comics Teams With Mammoth Media For Original Mobile Content

Archie Comics has announced that they’ll be partnering with a mobile app company to create original content that extends well beyond the content we’re familar with in comics and TV.
Mammoth Media  has created apps like Yarn and Wishbone and will be hosting original story content based on the “Riverdale”, “Betty & Veronica” and “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” comic book series from Archie.
Yarn’s short form storytelling takes the form of text messages and video, and adaptations of the Archie Comics’ franchises have already premiered on the app featuring the Riverdale and Greendale settings.

Archie Comics point out that we are already encountering classic Archie characters in new ways through the CW show Riverdale, the upcoming Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and eventually through the in-development live-action Bollywood film in partnership with Graphic India.
Archie Comics CEO/Publisher, Jon Goldwater says:

When the opportunity arose to partner with Mammoth, we knew we had to take it. Archie and his friends are some of the most vibrant, of-the-moment characters in pop culture, as proven by the success of Riverdale and our own publishing ventures. I can’t wait to see how fans respond to these new, mobile adventures.

Mammoth Media’s current apps Yarn and Wishbone are both consistently ranked in the Top 100 App charts in the United States. For more information, visit https://mammoth.la/.
