It seems Keiynan Lonsdale will be speeding his way out of Legends of Tomorrow.
TVLine reports the actor, who plays Wally West on the various Arrowverse shows, will not be returning to Legends of Tomorrow in the Fall. The site characterizes the departure as a change of status from series regular back to guest star.
The actor transferred to Legends when The Flash‘s storyline left little room for the character, who originated in that show’s second season. It seemed like a good fit, with Wally have a unique power among the Legends crew and a personality which complimented characters like Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Nate Heywood (Nick Zano). Nevertheless, it seems the fitting was not as good for the production and Lonsdale, though no one has spoken on record about the matter.
Lonsdale will return for the fifth season premiere of The Flash, and presumably set up Wally’s on- or off-screen story for the year. Also, the possibility remains that his Wally West will make appearances on both shows. Hopefully, he’ll be around for the Fall crossover, which will introduce Batwoman and Gotham City to the Arrowverse.
Legends of Tomorrow airs Mondays on the CW.
