New Doctor Who Star Jodie Whittaker To Make Her SDCC Debut Next Month

by Erik Amaya

For roughly the last decade, Doctor Who has made a splash at Comic-Con International: San Diego’s Hall H with first look trailers, great gatherings of the cast and last year’s tearful farewell for Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi. And just as the Doctor regenerates, the new lead actor takes over the show’s traditional Comic-Con panel.
According to Entertainment Weekly, new star Jodie Whittaker will make her first Comic-Con appearance next month. Co-stars Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill, new showrunner Chris Chibnall, and executive producer Matt Strevens will also be in attendance to field questions from excited fans and, most likely, unveil a trailer for the 11th series of the revived British sci-fi series.
Time and date have not been announced, but Doctor Who panels traditionally occur on the Sunday of Comic-Con. And as that trailer will be up as soon as it appears in Hall H, we’ll be sure to get it to you as quickly as possible.
Doctor Who returns to BBC America in the Fall.
