Marvel Will Release A Conan The Barbarian ‘Early Years’ Omnibus

by Hannah Means Shannon

Marvel are going to be bringing some classic Conan the Barbarian comics to shops in a chunky omnibus for fans. The comics, dating from 1970 onward, were created by comics greats like Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor Smith, and based on that alone, they are definitely worth a new collection.

The comics will appear “fully remastered”, and the book will collect Conan the Barbarian #1-26 from 1970-1973 and material from 1971’s Savage Tales #1 and #4, Chamber of Darkness #4, and Conan Classic #1-11.

The omnibus, titled Conan the Barbarian: The Original Marvel Years, will include all materials from the original comic, like covers and letter pages. We can expect the new volume in January 2019.

Marvel says:

Relive the early exploits of Conan across shining kingdoms of an age undreamed of, as he becomes thief, slayer and a legend.
