The Gifted Returns September 25th

Those wondering what happened to Andy (Percy Hynes White) and Lorna (Emma Dumont) after they joined the Hellfire Club will be happy to know it will only a few short months until The Gifted returns on Fox.
The network announced its Fall premiere schedule today, which sees The Gifted taking up its new Tuesday night timeslot on September 25th. The series stars Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as Reed and Caitlin Strucker, human parents of mutants Andy and Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind). When their powers are exposed to the world, the Struckers go on the run and find themselves working with the Mutant Underground — a coalition of mutants left behind after the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants were apparently killed five years earlier.
Over the course of the first season, it became clear that the Strucker siblings are key to the ongoing conflict between mutants and humans. Their great grandfather and his twin sister had tremendous destructive powers and a willingness to use them against humans. Reed’s father, in turn, also had powers, but worked at Trask Industries to find a cure which only worked on Reed and failed to prevent mutation from occurring in his children. The original Strucker twins were also part of the Hellfire Club, an organization of mutant illuminati dedicated to seeing the world go their way. As the season ended, Esme Frost (Skyler Samuels) revealed herself to be part of a new Hellfire Club; inviting both Andy and Lorna to join.
The new season will see these themes further explored as the issue of Lorna’s father comes into play. Presumably, Reed and Caitlin will also try to pull their troubled son back from the Club’s influence even as Andy attempts to convince his sister to join him in a more proactive mutant rights group.
The Gifted returns Septemeber 25th on Fox.
