The Guinness Book of Records has announced that it has recognised Action Comics to be the longest running superhero comic. Something us fans didn’t need to be told, but it’s nice to see it recognised by this prestigious publication. DC Publishers Dan Didio and Jim Lee received the official certificate just before the official opening of this year’s SDCC, kicking off festivities on a high note from the get go.
And, with an early announcement of Liam Sharp and Grant Morrison on Green Lantern, could this be DC’s SDCC weekend? Too early to call for now, but those two bits of breaking news does seem to set a high bar going into a busy weekend.
Congratulations Superman! You don’t half look bad for an octogenarian.
