Watch The First Episode Of Rise Of The TMNT

As I stated in my last article, I was very impressed by the first episode of Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you are curious about the new series, you’re in luck because Nickelodeon has released the first episode on their Youtube channel before it airs on television.

While the first episode is a blast, I was really struck by the behind-the-scenes interviews with co-producers Andy Suriano and Ant Ward. The producers outline their vision for the series, rationale behind the re-design, and advice to aspiring artists. A recurring theme is pushing boundaries and exploring new territory. The hidden world beneath New York opens up the possibility for the Turtles to fight creatures from Japanese lore in addition to mutants. I look forward to seeing how the series develops.
