Check Out The 2018 Harvey Award Nominees

The Harvey Awards, honoring achievement in comic books across a number of categories, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Named after Harvey Kurtzman, the man behind Mad Magazine, the awards will feature new categories this time around including Book of the Year, Digital Book of the Year, Best Children or Young Adult Book, Best Adaptation from a Comic Book / Graphic Novel, Best Manga, and Best European Book.
They’ll be presented during New York Comic Con at a gala event on Friday, October 5th at Shop Studios (528 W 39th Street). Check out the full list of nominees below.

We are proud to announce the nominees for the new slate of Harvey Awards. By opening up the process to librarians, educators, retailers and more, we believe that we have an accurate representation of this year’s best graphic works.

This year’s nominees were selected by a handpicked group of diverse industry voices. They’ll be voted on by eligible industry professionals. Select pros from ReedPop’s industry network and Artist Alley have already been pre-approved to vote and will be receiving invites shortly. Other professionals who want to apply to participate can do so here.
