Inbar Lavi Joins Lucifer’s Fourth Season In An Intriguing Role
by Erik Amaya
As Lucifer prepares it’s Hail Mary fourth season, word comes that Inbar Lavi will play an unexpected role in the newly-minted Netflix series.
In fact, the role may surprise some readers of the older Lucifer series — and the earlier mythology established in The Sandman — which introduced Lilith, a previous wife of Adam whose innate equality (she was formed of the same stuff as Adam) made her an “unsuitable mate.” She would go on to found a society of demons while Adam found another wife with Eve.
And, according to TV Insider (via TVLine), Lavi will play a newly liberated Eve. According to the description of the character, “after an eternity with Adam, [Eve has] grown restless in her marriage and longs for a less predictable time when things were exciting. Naughty. Dangerous. She misses her hot and heavy first love…the charming rogue who tempted her so many years ago. That’s right, the devil himself…Lucifer.”
Which, one suppose, will lead to a number of complications for Lucifer (Tom Ellis) going forward.
Curiously, Lilith has never herself appeared on the series, despite being a revered figure in Mazikeen’s (Lesley-Ann Brandt) world. Perhaps she is still waiting in the wings to tussle with the Devil.
Lucifer returns in 2019 on Netflix.
