Vault’s Wasted Space Upgraded To Ongoing Series

by James Ferguson

Wasted Space is just one of many feathers in the cap of publisher Vault Comics. The sci-fi epic from writer Michael Moreci, artist Hayden Sherman, colorist Jason Wordie, and letterer Jim Campbell got off to a great start with four back-to-back single issue sell-outs. It helps that it’s also a pretty great comic. As announced on Paste, Vault has upgraded Wasted Space from a limited series to an ongoing. Perhaps more importantly, the publisher has committed to run at least 20 issues of the series.

Tim Daniel, Vault’s VP of Branding and Design says:

In Michael Moreci, Hayden Sherman, Jason Wordie and Jim Campbell we have experienced the rare instance of a team functioning in concert and at the height of their creative powers. Readers and retailers have responded with overwhelming support of the book. Critical praise has naturally followed in kind. Making Wasted Space Vault’s first extended series is a landmark decision we make with great esteem for the entire creative team and their story.

Wasted Space has all the makings of a great sci-fi epic so I’m excited to see where it goes now that it has room to expand. If we’re just scratching the surface with the first few issues, I can’t imagine what this creative team has in store for us.
