Bettie Page Is Headed To London This Fall From Dynamite

by Hannah Means Shannon

Dynamite Entertainment  has announced that Bettie Page will be returning for an all-new adventure taking her to old Blighty.
This Fall,  writer David Avallone and artist Julius Ohta will take us on an adventure where Bettie is investigating the disappearance of the newly crowned Queen of England, and one where MI6 thinks UFOs are involved! Bettie even ends up impersonating the Queen as hijinks ensue.

Writer David Avallone says:

Writing the first Bettie Page series was pure joy, and I’m thrilled to be reunited with her for this great new series. I had more stories to tell with Bettie, and now I get to tell them. Bettie will be visiting 1952 London and helping out another heroic, spunky brunette in her late twenties who’s in over her head… Queen Elizabeth the Second. Plus MI6 and UFOs and other acronyms. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Nick Barrucci, CEO and Publisher of Dynamite Entertainment adds:

The first Bettie series was both a critical and fan favorite hit!  David’s schedule was filling up, and we wanted to keep his voice on the series!  We wanted to wait for David’s schedule to free up before telling new stories. We’re excited to keep the legacy of one of the 20th century’s most unforgettable performers alive in the pages of our comics. I can’t wait to see what David delivers in this new series, and the art complements his scripts so well!

The first issue of Bettie Page features cover artwork from John Royle (G.I.Joe), Scott Chantler (Two Generals), David Williams (Justice League of America), Julius Ohta (Sherlock Holmes) and a photo cover. Additionally, a blank Authentix cover will be available for fans, as well as an Atlas Edition.
Bettie Page #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ September 2018 Previews catalog, and slated for release in November 2018. Bettie Page will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, Madefire, and Dark Horse Digital.
