With the DC Universe launch coming up, the streaming service has revealed another new series, DC Daily, will debut along with the platform. But to preview the show, Kevin Smith will host a live DC Daily on YouTube and other streaming services on August 29th.

The daily series will “offer fans entertaining news and insights, exclusive guest appearances, interviews and panel discussions with some of the most knowledgeable voices in the DC universe.” It also promises “an added depth of news content” surrounding the service’s original series, comics and community. The program will be hosted by a variety of faces familiar to DC fans, with special guests and other co-hosts joining the daily cast.

The format will include headlines, a single-topic “report” segment, like in-depth interview or deep dive into an upcoming book, film or series; and a panel discussion including in-depth analysis of the latest happenings; which will be exclusively available only to DC Universe members via the service.

Selected “headline” segments will be made available on YouTube and other non-DC Universe outlets.

Smith’s live-stream will come from DC Daily‘s dedicated set and introduce fans to the show’s format and exclusive content that will be seen on DC Daily. He will also take a deep look at DC Universe itself.

The DC Daily live stream will happen on Wednesday, August 29th at 4:30 Pacific. Those curious about the show can tune in on platforms like YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.
