Marcos Meets Dawn In A Preview Of Next Week’s The Gifted

by Erik Amaya

We’re two episodes into The Gifted‘s second season, and poor Marcos (Sean Teale) still hasn’t met his child Dawn yet. It’s pretty much the only thing he can talk about despite not really knowing if she’s alive or dead. But as this preview of next week’s episode reveals, Marcos will finally get to hold her. But it may be his only chance to do so as the Inner Circle have other plans for her … and him.

One of the interesting aspects of the show is the way it gives voice to very real moral conflicts. Marcos and Lorna (Emma Dumont) are on opposite ends of one such issue: self-imposed segregation. Should he survive his encounter with the Inner Circle, it will be interesting to see how it plays out for them going forward. Will they ever be able to become a family? And speaking of family, the Stuckers seem to be heading for an explosive situation of their own. While Caitlin (Amy Acker) obsesses over Andy (Percy Hynes White) and Reed (Stephen Moyer) conceals his returning powers, they’ve both failed to see Laura (Natalie Alyn Lind) suffering after her powers led to a number of deaths last season. That she finally said something this week is a positive sign, but one imagines it will get worse for the family before it gets any better. And it’ll probably happen when Reed can no longer stop his powers from doing something dramatic.
The Gifted airs Tuesdays on Fox.
