Dig Into The Pirate Queen’s Origin In Age Of Conan: Bêlit

by James Ferguson

This March, Age of Conan from Marvel Comics will focus on one of the barbarian’s most formidable and memorable companions: Bêlit, the Queen of the Black Coast. Written by Tini Howard and illustrated by Kate Niemczyk, this five-issue mini-series digs into the origins of the pirate queen and how she came to be. We’ll see a teenage Bêlit stow away on the Dread Admiral Atrahasis’ ship, her adventures that led her down a dangerous and deadly road, and another that will change not only her life, but those of all who roam the seas of the Hyborian Age.

Also included in the first issue is the first chapter from an all-new Bêlit prose novella. Age of Conan: Bêlit #1 will feature a cover by Sana Takeda and a variant cover by Afu Chan. It’s set for release on March 3rd, 2019.
