Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Introduces New Content for January
by Sage Ashford
If players didn’t find their Odyssey in the world of Greece lengthy enough, Ubisoft has decided to offer even more content for players to immerse themselves in for the month of January 2019. Like most of Ubisoft’s games these days, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has become one of their Games as a Service products, offering consistent content that will unfold over a decent portion of the first half of the year, presumably making up for an Assassin’s Creed title not shipping in 2019.
In this trailer, Ubisoft discusses some of the changes they’re bringing to the game for the month of January. The usual patches will bring a slight change to the level scaling, allowing players to make enemies range from as strong as the player up to four levels weaker. The game will also continue the Hidden Blade paid DLC storyline, the second in one of three episodes for the first half of the paid content. But players who are after free content won’t be left out, as Ubisoft has placed another Grecian monster, allowing them to battle the Cyclops. There’s also the Daughters of Lalaia storyline, where your misthios will find a village that has lost all of its men to a war effort, and players will have to teach them how to fight to determine whether or not the village will survive an attack.
Whether you’ve bought into the season pass, or just want to return to Greece for a quick visit, it sure seems like there’s plenty of content for players to enjoy.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available now on PS4, PC, and XB1.
