The quaint and quirky O-Town is overrun by a mysterious epidemic this April in Rocko’s Modern Afterlife from Boom! Studios. Everyone’s favorite wallaby will have to battle a zombie outbreak. Writer Anthony Burch and artist Mattia Di Meo take us on this wild ride through this limited series.
O-Town’s citizens were already mindless from too much screen time, but now something is turning them into zombies. Rocko wants nothing to do with this so he barricades himself and his dog Spunky in their home, determined to outlast the hordes. When Rocko’s best friend Heffer becomes infected, Rocko will have to risk everything to save not only his buddy, but this city.
Editor Matthew Levine says:
Rocko’s Modern Life has always been laced with hilarious social commentary, but now we’re taking things up a notch by infusing that humor with a dose of the undead. Anthony and Mattia are crafting a Rocko story like never before and one that can’t be missed.
I love everything about this. The Rocko’s Modern Life cartoon is near and dear to my heart and the comic has captured the tone of that show perfectly. I’m very much looking forward to this book.
Rocko’s Modern Afterlife #1 will feature a main cover by Ian McGinty and a preorder variant cover by Joey McCormick. It’s set for release on April 3rd, 2019.
