Breaking Down The Mortal Kombat 11 Story Trailer And Gameplay Walkthrough

After a startling teaser trailer at the 2018 Game Awards, Mortal Kombat 11 has become one of the most hotly anticipated titles of the new year. Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios delivered a taste of the full game during a three-hour community event. From the footage seen we can expect this latest iteration of MK to focus on customizable characters and online play.
After the events of Mortal Kombat X, Raiden has turned evil and will no doubt serve as the main antagonist for MK 11. The story trailer also introduces a mysterious new character with the ability to rewrite time.
MK 11 returns with its signature fatalities but these finishers appear to be more tightly framed than in previous games. There’s gore to be sure, but these violent takedowns also make great use of composition and negative space. You may not want to watch this on a full stomach.
The list of confirmed fighters includes: Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Cassie Cage, Baraka, Skarlet, a new fighter called Geras and Shao Kahn, available as DLC. If you’re still bloodthirsty for more Kontent (see what I did there) then head over to the official Mortal Kombat Youtube page.
